Here are some basic basketball skills you can do to enhance your different skills. One is just basic passing drill that you can practice with. All the different passes that you do know. Find yourself a friend and pass. And as you get better you can increase the distance. You can also change the pass. Another drill you can do is a basic lay-up drill. Again you are working on your fundamentals so what you want to do here is you can start at the foul line. So you'll go from elbow to elbow, is what the drill is called. You can go from the elbow of the foul line, receive the ball, dribble to the next elbow, and you can go back and forth about 30 seconds, rest, do the drill again. Another drill that helps your shooting is a simple one called around the world. You might want to get yourself a partner for this so they can rebound the ball. Usually you can start inside, take basic shots, you can do bank shots, you can do regular shots, and then as you get better you can take a step out. And as you get better, or you get stronger, you get used to the rhythm of your shot, you slowly step out and you continue to go around the world. I usually take about 300 shots. Depending on the person, depending on how many shots they take. So you want to make sure you practice efficiently and move in and out, just to practice your different angles on your jumpshot.
