Hello, my name is Shawn Jones, adjunct professor here at Argosy University. Today we're talking about the mission of a financial accountant, or basically what does a financial accountant do. It's mission or goal is to be able to provide accurate timely information for managers, owners, investors, share holders, to be able to understand what is going on withing a given company or organization. This information is provided through it's financial statements, it's balance sheet, income statement and statement of cash flows. And so mainly being able to provide that information on a monthly, yearly basis; some may even require various reporting on a weekly basis, but in whatever goals or deadlines are set, the financial accountant is able to meet those deadlines, but also make sure the information that is provided is accurate and up to date.
