Today, we're talking about the job description of an accounting technician, sometimes known in the business world as an accounting clerk. An accounting technician has some very basic, big vital roles within the accounting department. Their roles basically function around data entry or input, being able to process paperwork such as invoices or bank statements or being able to help with other things like reconciliations. Their functions may also center around some other basic functions within the accounting department such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. But mainly, being able to help the accounting department fully process the data that needs to be able to happen for these functions to be able to take place.
