You think turkey is the only thing that can be stuffed? I'm Jawara the chef, and today, I'm going to show you how to stuff peppers with turkey. First, you remove the top of the pepper. Now, you remove the inside. Okay, I have a fresh pound of turkey meat. You can get that at the supermarket. I've got my mushrooms, and I'm going to chop my mushrooms. Now I'll use three-quarters of cups of sliced mushrooms, and I'm adding it to my turkey. Now I have fresh basil, couple sprigs. I'm going to pull the stems off. Now I'm going to chop those. Now that I chopped my basil, I'm getting ready to add it to my turkey. Two tablespoons of chopped onions. Now I'm going to add this to my turkey. Drizzle a little olive oil. Shake in a little bread crumbs. A little salt, fresh ground pepper, couple spoons of canned diced tomatoes. You can buy this right from the store. And then, mix all this together. Now we begin to start stuffing our peppers. Now we take a little of your diced tomatoes. Put them in your baking dish, just to cover the bottom real good. Now I'm going to put the stuffed peppers in. And I like to put a little bread crumb on top of mine. Finish sprinkling my bread crumbs on here. Now I put them in my oven at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. The peppers are roasted. The bread crumbs are nice, golden brown. Now they're ready to eat. I'm Jawara the chef. Now you know how to make stuffed turkey peppers. Mmm. That's what I'm talking about.
