"Hi I'm Donna Barnes. I'm a Life and Dating Coach, the owner of NY Dating Coach here in New York City. In this clip we'll talk about avoiding pitfalls in courtship and the biggest one is too much information. Really in the beginning you are just trying to get to know each other so don't tell any deep dark secrets, don't talk about anything that is going to make you overly emotional. They will think you are a basket case. Really just find out things that you have in common and keep it light and friendly. Also don't be a stalker. You know if you have seen each other once don't move the relationship too fast. There really should be a slow pace to get along and you know if you are the girl, let the man call you, let him make the motions but if you are a guy go ahead and call her but just make sure that it is not obsessive and I think we all saw the movie "Swingers" where the guy calls and calls and calls and then she says don't ever call me again. So trust your instincts, really put a nice slow cadence on it and don't move too fast and don't reveal too much about yourself too soon, that has to be earned with trust and I think you'll be o'kay. This is Donna Barnes from New York City."
