Hi my name is Eric Fisher I'm a cardiologist in Austin, Texas with Capital Cardiovascular Specialist and I'm here to answer the question of how you should choose a doctor. In my opinion a personal recommendation from people that you trust are probably the best way to choose a physician. That's the way I choose physicians for myself and for my family members. Also it's very important considerations are to consult with your insurance company to be sure that the doctor that you are going to see is covered by your insurance so that your insurance will be in affect when you do see that physician. If you don't have insurance then you have more leeway but obviously you'll be uncovered when you see the physician which is an important consideration as well. And the finance options may be a consideration to take in when considering a doctor if you don't have medical insurance. And that would be my recommendation for how to choose a doctor.
