Who invented the poop scooper? Brooke Miller, from Anaheim, California is credited as being the first person to invent or at least register the intellectual property of a poop scooper. Hers was a simple design of a metal bin with a metal rake that you raked the poop into. The, it is unclear whether or not she owns the trademark on the actual name of pooper scooper, or if it's just the trademark of that particular design that she came up with. The generic term pooper scooper made it into the dictionary somewhere around in the 1970's, and that's when it kind of became a stronger more popular lexicon. But, overwhelmingly this Brooke Miller is the young lady who is pretty much given the credit with giving us this marvelous tool, that helps keep us separated from our animals fecal matter.
