To prepare for a recession, you should trim yourself of as much debt as you possibly can, so you have as much emergency cash as you possibly can, should you lose your job. Challenging times means slower business and slower cash flow for everyone. So make sure that you do not spend money that you don't have, make sure you live on a budget even more so in a recessionary time. This is the best way to prepare for that and preparing to live in a recession. Those that have prepared the best will be best-situated for prosperity once we merge from the recession.
