This is financial adviser Patrick Munro talking about how to deposit a check without endorsing it. Basically, the way to do a check that has not been endorsed is to definitely develop a relationship with your bank. The bank knows the flow of checks coming to you, and, from time to time, if you have a high flow of checks coming to you, you will fail to endorse the back of one check. This is called 'batching', and a banker will look at your usual operation of deposits and see that this amount of money that's coming through to you is part of your regular batch, as it's called in the banking business. So therefore, on the back of the check there may be no endorsement, but the bank is well aware that you have this activity on a regular basis, and therefore will pass on the check through the banking system. In order to have this luxury with the bank, it's important, though, to develop a strong relationship with them so that they know you, they know your business, and how you conduct your affairs. This is Patrick Munro on how to deposit a check that is not endorsed.
