"This financial adviser Patrick Munro talking to you about how to dispute a credit card charge. Credit cards are an instrument that individuals use to pay for goods and services. But in an imperfect world mistakes can make you pretty miserable if you don't follow an appropriate way of following up with your credit card charges. Each month a credit card company will send you a statement. It's important, and many people do not do this, they simply pay the minimum payment or whatever the payment they are going to do, but you should examine the charges that have accrued on that card that particular month line by line and match it with your credit card receipts. If you see a charge there that doesn't belong or you're confused, I'd call the one eight hundred number at the credit card company and ask for some clarification on that charge. Many times that will solve the problem. But if there's a case where you don't recognize a charge, the credit card company will put that item in to suspense and put the charge amount back on your card so it's available to you until the matter is resolved. If it continues though, make sure you contact a credit bureau and there you have other areas that you can explore. But most the time the credit card company through yourself and communication will solve the problem. This is Patrick Munro talking about how to dispute a credit card charge."
