"How to compare motorcycle insurance. Comparing motorcycle insurance is really no different than comparing car insurance. You do want to check, though, that the limits and the coverages are identical on the two quotes or three quotes you're comparing. Often, one company might try to sell you something because it's a great price, but really it might not have physical damage coverage for the motorcycle, meaning it might not be covered for comprehensive or collision coverage, and, or it might have lower liability limits, meaning that the amount of money you have available in a third party action would be less than in other policies. So you really want to make sure that the limits you're comparing are similar, and also that the two companies are both recommended companies by our rating company, which is A.M. Best. And you can always check A.M. Best's website to see the financial rating behind the companies, and it'll tell you about the financial stability, especially in this day and age where some of our financial institutions are having a little trouble, you do want to make sure that both companies are sound financially. So again, comparing motorcycle insurance is really no different than comparing car insurance. You want to check that the coverages and the limits are the same on both quotes."
