Hi, I'm John Niemira and I'm here on the campus of Steven Henager College at Salt Lake City, Utah. I'm going to talk to you about promoting a new product. Promoting a new product, first of all, you want to find out who your customer base is, who you're selling to. What service and product are you providing to that customer? Get to know your customer base. Secondly, you want to go ahead and find different ways to promote that product. Start online, start with your website, develop a website. Check into some online advertising, check into different search engines and getting your product lined up on there. Another good way would go through the media depending on your budget of course. Whether you would want to advertise on television, if you want to advertise in newspapers, Yellow Pages, oh, billboards those sorts of modes of media. They are kind of expensive but very effective. Thirdly is the personal contact, which may even be the best contact. It's the cheapest for you but gets you out to your customer. Know your customer. Get out there and meet them, find out who they are. Find out the organizations that they deal with. Find out their social contacts.
