"Hello my name is John Niemira and I'm here from the Salt Lake City campus of Steven Henager College. I want to talk to you very briefly today about promoting your business. Promoting your business is another word for marketing your business. A couple different ways to market your business and promote your business depending on your budget and how much you can actually spend on promoting it. There are a couple of mainstream ways to go about it and the first one would be through television, radio, newspapers, billboards, that sort of mode, the public mode. Secondly would be on line. On line you can do it several different ways by maybe developing a website, secondly by advertising on a couple of the major search engines and there are several really good free websites where you could advertise your business. Thirdly would be the personal contact which may be the best contact. Most businesses are community businesses so you want contacts in your local community. You want the people living in your neighborhoods, in your community, in your city knowing about your services or products that you offer. So that personal contact, getting out there meeting the people, going to community events and letting the people know, promoting the business yourself.
