Video Transcript

"Hi I'm Donna Barnes. I'm a life and dating coach, and owner of NY Dating Coach here in New York City. In this clip we'll talk about living with a depressed boyfriend. And, if he's really sleeping all day, and really very clinically depressed, than, if you can try to get him help, that would be the best thing. If he's not willing to go and talk to somebody, than perhaps you could talk to some of his family members and do a little bit of an intervention. If you feel like he's dangerously depressed, like he might hurt himself, than it really is up to you to tell somebody. Go call a therapist yourself and let them know, and they'll give you tips on how to handle that specifically for him. It's hard to motivate somebody who's depressed, but for you not to get sucked into that is the best thing you can do for them. If you can try to be happy, and really keep going about your day and keep doing things, and invite him to get out and do things with you, hopefully you can bring his spirits up a little bit, and get him to come out of his depression. This is Donna Barnes, from New York City."
