This is financial adviser, Patrick Munro, talking about endorsing a check for a joint account. Normally business partners will have a joint account whereby either party will sign for the checks in the issuance of normal transactions of the daily business. Also married spouses will also have a joint account as well. It is many times important to develop a good relationship with the bank officer where you custodialize your accounts and make sure that there are signature cards on file at the financial institution and you take time to get to know both partners, the staff at the bank so that when it comes time when one of you of course are not available to sign for a particular instrument the other can present themselves to the bank and sign in other words a check for a joint account and there won't be any problems. It is all about communication with your financial institution when it comes to endorsing a check for a joint account. This is financial adviser, Patrick Munro.
