Hi, this is Jessica Claire with New York Dating Coach in New York City. In this clip, we're going to talk about the difference between courting and dating. Courting is the first stage of a relationship. It's when you first meet, it's how you introduce yourself, it's how you get to know each other, and sort of the first, initial signs of attraction between two people. Courting is sort of like a dance, it's like a little game; it should be the really fun part of a relationship. You'll never get this again, if you end up with that person, so really enjoy the courting phase - the flirtation, etc. Dating is the second step in a relationship. It's when you move from this silly, fun courting style to what I would consider more serious. You're actually going on dates, you're getting to know each other at a deeper lever. Courting is here, you know each other a little bit; when you start to date, you become more serious and you're telling each other more personal things about yourselves. This is Jessica Claire with New York Dating Coach.
