"Hello, I am Patti German, a licensed marriage and family therapist in New York City. In this clip I'm going to talk about how to make your husband feel good. You know, everyone knows when your husband is stressed or troubled by something, bothered, and is worried. And I think the important thing to keep in mind to make your husband feel good is no matter what he might be going through, to give him the feeling and to let him know that you really love him and you do understand that something is bothering him at this time. And to help him talk it through without attacking him and judging him; without making him feel like he's made a mistake. But to stay focused and to reinforce the idea that everyone is troubled from time to time about something. And part of what makes anyone feel better is to be able to talk about it and share it and not feel that they've done something wrong or something bad. But that it's OK and if we talk it through together it can be better. This is Patti German in New York City."
