"Toothpaste is one of the components that we use in conjunction with a toothbrush to help brush away plaque and bacteria and help us maintain a good or help us maintain good oral hygiene. It's usually either a paste or a gel that has mild abrasive particles in it that help remove astringent stains. And what astringent stains are, tobacco, wine, coffee that we ingest over time can leave stain and with a mild abrasive it can sometimes remove that stain for you. It does also sometimes have fluoride in it. And fluoride will help with any sensitivity that we might have with either having recession on our, recession in our mouth, the fluoride will help in strengthening the enamel as well.
