"It has been said that opposites attract, or do they? How to understand the opposite gender, girls for guys. This is Dr. Paul, author of Boomer Girls, a boomer woman's guide to men and dating, and host of Ask Dr. Paul. It's not just enough to understand the other gender, girls, by observing them. It's better to kind of get a play on a particular person. It's not just a quote, unquote, gender thing, because people of the opposite gender, men, boys, men, also have individual characteristics. I try to tell people, don't generalize on this. Be specific to the person you're involved with. If this person you're involved with, is a person who is in NASCAR, well then, you kind of know where that interest area lies, and that's a thing, that as a woman, you can pick up on. If this person happens to have an interest in say, sports car driving. It may be a little different from the NASCAR. If this person has an interest in sports in general, that may be another interest area. Maybe this person has an interest in writing, whatever it may be. Select from that opposite, in terms of what that person's interests, happen to be, to generalize by saying, well, what do quote, unquote men want? No, it's more, what does my man want? or what does the man want, that I happen to have an interest in? There's where you want to go with that. This is Dr. Paul. May your fantasies of today, be your realities of tomorrow."
