How to Check the Suspension on a Polaris ATV

"On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Tom Roland and we are here at Cotton Motor Sports and we are here to talk to you about doing a service on a Polaris Quad and this is a fairly representative of macho, many of them. On a Polaris, most of them are 4 wheel drive and they are 4 wheel independent suspension which means they have axles on both ends that have CV joints on them. These are the inner CV boots on both sides and on the outer CV boot, pull this down here and you can see the outer CV boots. The boots will get sticks or whatever can get up in there and sometimes just from wear, they will split. They will get damage kind of like this tear right here and when they do, they let the grease come out of them and of course, conversely they let dirt get up inside of them. It is really important if you are looking at your Polaris from time to time you look to see the boots are starting to get damaged and if there is a problem with them. Anyway the boots on the front, the same thing. You have to inspect them also and when we are in front of the vehicle I'll point those out too."
