How to Use a Potpourri Pot

"Hi, I'm Susan Paxton for Expert Village and today we're talking about potpourri and some of the things that you can do with it. Some of the ways that you can use potpourri is in a potpourri pot. This is the kind that you put a little tea light down in the bottom. You add water and your potpourri to the top and it gently distributes the fragrance throughout your whole house. Other ways that you can do it is if you don't have a potpourri pot you can put a sauce pan on the stove and add your potpourri to it, put water in the pan, add potpourri to the water and simmer gently on your stove. Now I've also had in the past I've had a potpourri pot that was electric that I could just plug in and I would put my potpourri and some water in it and it would just do its thing without having to put it on the stove. But you do have to be careful because on the stove you want to watch it, make sure the water doesn't go away and burn your pan."
