"Hi, I'm Susan Paxton for Expert Village and we're talking about potpourri and drying various items for potpourri. As I was saying; any flat surface works just fine to lay out rose petals, rose leaves, your citrus clippings, anything like that that you want to put into a potpourri. I just usually have a big area that is full of rose petals and I just stir them everyday, sometimes a couple times a day just to give them air. It doesn't take very long. If you have a cookie sheet, you can put a piece of foil on it and put them in an oven with the door open. You have to have the door open to let the moisture escape. But you could, I've dried lots of apples slices that way, lots of orange slices, lemon slices. Just putting them in like a 200 degree oven until they're very, very dry. Usually I would put them in when I went to bed at night and by the next morning they would be dry."
