"Now we're going to mix the paint. I'm actually going to mix some flat paint and some metallic paint, which I talked about before, which will give me some nice coverage. I'm going to use some silver because it'll really pop off this sort of darker blue. You can use anything. I like a white plate. Again, because the paint is non-toxic, you don't have to worry about using it on dishes or whatever. It's really easy to see the color you're mixing if it's on a white background. You can also use tin foil or wax paper. This is actually some leftover paint that I had mixed. I want to talk about mixing generously. You never want to mix the color and then run out because it's really hard to match what you've already painted to what you're going to mix fresh. You want to try to mix a little bit extra and store it any kind of jar. Also, if your jacket scratches or whatever might happen, then you have a little bit of paint for backup. We've got the silver and a little bit of turquoise here. We're just going to sort of play with a little bit and get a nice color, kind of a lighter color. You can play with this as much as you want. There are endless of colors that you can create. I say really take some time to mix. See what you like and then choose a brush. For something like this, this might be too big actually. It's good to mix with a bigger brush, but now I'm probably going to use a smaller brush to actually apply the paint because this is a fairly small line here. Then just go ahead and probably start from the middle. Just kind of light easy strokes and fill it in."
