"Now lets make two lids. Card board lids to cover both ends of the rain stick. The way we do this is we take a strip of card board, thick parer. I am using actually a carton from a box and I take the rain stick stand it on it straight up and I trace a circle around the end. The same diameter as the end of the rain stick. So now I have two circles drawn on my carton and I am go ahead and just cut around until I have the two circle shapes cut out. You don't have to worry about making the circle bigger than the mouth of the rain stick it could be the same exact diameter because were going to be closing it up with some masking tape. So now we have two circles cut out that are going to be the lids for the top and the bottom of the rain stick and now were going to go ahead and place them on top and were going to seal them with some masking tape. Just so they stay in place and also to make sure that there?s no spaces around were the rice can flow and fall out of the rain stick. So we want to seal it up really well. So it doesn't really matter the exact shape of the circle it just should basically fit right over the top. It doesn't have to fit over it because the masking tape will help create a better seal. So now I have shown you how to cut two lids for our rain stick out of card board or out of a carton."
