"Hi, I?m Doug on behalf of ExpertVillage.com, a continuation of introduction to sleight of hand. Now how do you make your magic more magical? Magic is a form of entertainment, something very important for you to understand. And you're there to entertain by the use of different props. It's just like a musical instrument that's being manipulated to form a certain emotion by your audience. Same thing with magic. It's very important to know that magic is not a way of showing off something you know and somebody else doesn't. Your magic will fail, you'll come across as pompous, and people won't enjoy it as much. So it's very key to understand that again, magic is a way of entertaining by the use of an instrument, just like a musical instrument or whatnot, any other field of expertise. So you want to come across and really enjoy what you're doing, and the more you're enjoying what you're doing, the more they're going to enjoy watching. Again using the props, using patter, using emotion, music, whatever you're using. Your key is to entertain."
