Saving Birthday Reminders in Microsoft Outlook

"Hi, I am Gary for Expert Village. The calendar feature in Outlook is a very useful tool. I want to show you know how to create birthdays without creating new contacts. We see that in our contacts menu, I will choose a contact for just an example and we can see that we can add in in each contact, if we go to all fields, we can add in a birthday. If I go in I select a let's say personal fields, I will have a birthday over here that I can fill in with the date and that will automatically appear in my calendar. But what happens if we want to create other birthdays? Let's say for this person's wife or his children and we don't want to have to create a whole new contact just to put in a birthday because that will be confusing and just a waste of added names in our contact list, unwanted names. We don't want to create a new contact, we just want the birthdays. So the way to go ahead and do that is we go into our calendar and we go ahead and fill in the date, I will click on the day itself to create a new event and I will call this Sara's birthday and it is going to appear on the date that we have selected. I will go ahead and set an alarm that will go off one day before and now the important thing is over here, so we know who Sara is, I am going to associated it with a contact. I am going to click on my contact, I have my whole list here of contacts, I am going to click on AC Dov and now I am going to know that Sara is related to the contact AC Dov. I am going to click apply and OK and now my contact AC Dov will appear over here with Sara's birthday event. I am going to save it and now on the sixteenth, I see that Sara's birthday. Now, Sara is not a contact, so if I wanted to know who Sara is, I can go ahead and just click on that event and I can see all the information I put in is saved. So now I know that Sara is related to AC Dov. And then I will go ahead and save that, now we created an event for birthdays other than our contact list."
