"Hi I'm James Adams I'm here on behalf of expertvillage.com and now we are going to proceed identifying what kind of upgrade you could get for your video card. There is different ways that you could do this the easiest way is to open up your computer and do a visual inspection. So there is two screws on the computer one at the top and one right here at the bottom. So just take them out in my case my I have already took them out. Then the panel just slides open like that. We took out the side panel when looking at the inside and you will notice that I have a independent video card. Now we need to identify what kind of sockets that we have and what kind of cards we could receive because there is three kinds PCI, PCI express, and AGP. In this case I have my video card right there so you could just push it to take it out by unscrewing the screw. Okay so we took out the video card that was already in it. Look at the sockets you have I have two white ones and a black and a blue one. The first thing you should notice if your computer only has like that just white sockets and they are all at the same distance right there that means your options are PCI which is the lowest one of them all. If you look at it and you have something like this you will notice right there that the two socket are perfectly a lined but this one is kind of indented in starts right there. That means you have either AGP or a PCI express. Now to identify the difference between AGP and the PCI express you will know you look at it and see that I have two PCIs. I have one that is further back. How do a I distinguish them is it is really really simple. The AGPs slot would be the same length of those as these white ones. So if you have one that is like the same length as the white one but, it starts right there that means you got a AGP. If you have one that is longer like look at the length of the PCI express which this is what this one is. If the length of these one is longer then this one that means you have a PCI express sixteen. If you don't you have a AGP. So with that we could go and proceed into what options you have available to you and upgrade for you machine. "
