Photoshop Sharpen Tool Tutorial

All right, in this CS3 pictorial, we're going to be talking about the sharpen tool over here on your box; dialog box over here. You can see me over here; zoom in. It's sharpen tool, and the shortcut for that is R. So we have that selected, and this works just like the blur tool, only it sharpens, and there are other ways to sharpen. You can use unsharp mask, or you can go into the filters menu. There are a lot of different types of plug-ins that sharpen. This is just another way to sharpen using a pinpoint accuracy, instead of having to sharpen your whole image; you can actually sharpen individual parts of one image. So, this kind of works like the brush tool again, and you can change the brush size and the hardness and all that, and the different types of modes and the strength. And what we're going to do is we're going to actually; since the focus is eyeglasses, we're just going to go along all this and sharpen it all up. Just click and drag; click and drag. And of course, with every action there's a reaction, and you're just going to pick up a lot more noise if there is noise in your image when you do this. So, I recommend not doing it. But I'm showing you guys this tutorial about this tool because it definitely shows that there's a lot more different ways to sharpen an image; rather than just going into your filter menu and sharpening the whole thing. Sometimes, people want a blurry look to their image, but want individual pieces sharpened. So, that is it for the sharpen tool, thanks."
