"Hi. I'm Roxanne Beckford Hoge and this is a series on dressing for pregnancy. What do you need in your pregnancy survival kit? What are the basics that are going to take you through the next nine months? Well here's a couple that no pregnant woman can do without. First is a spaghetti tank. Or two or three. These come with a built in shelf bra because no matter what size you were before you're going to want a little extra support. You can layer them under things. Jackets, sweaters, suits. They're really incredibly versatile. And these are a keeper. They come in all different colors. Here's another example. This one doesn't have a shelf bra but again, really pretty detailing. Something with color that makes you feel good. Because a lot of these basics you'll get in black. Everybody needs a pair of jeans because they're jeans. And you can't live without them. If they're part of your regular wardrobe they should be part of your maternity wardrobe. Number one thing I love? A pair of maternity pants. Where are they? I'm wearing them. Yes, I'm no longer pregnant but these are actually maternity pants. They're cut with a really loose waistline and I live in them. Don't tell anybody. The other thing you'll need to make everything look good is a pair of stretch, are they girdle like? they're a little girdle like, but they're more comfortable, spanks or any other of the brand names you can find that stop v.p.l. or visible panty lines from the back and give you a smooth line through your leg and your belly. These will be a lifesaver. Especially if you work or need to go out. And don't forget really good fitting underwear."
