"Hi my name is Sarah and this is Halibut, and I am one of the exotic technicians here at Extra Care Animal Hospital, and on behalf of Expert Village.com, I am going to provide you with some helpful information on owning a rabbit. If you are considering getting a rabbit, please check with some of the rescue organizations in your area and see if you can find a rescued rabbit. There are lots of rabbits that are actually wonderful—that have great personalities—out there, that need loving homes. Pet stores are another place to get rabbits, but always consider rescuing an adult rabbit and saving a life before purchasing a baby one. The person at the pet store may or may not be able to tell you if your bunny is a male or female, but when you take your bunny for its first visit to the veterinarian’s office, your vet should be able to tell you if your bunny is a male or a female. If you would like more information about our animal hospital, you can visit our website at www.extracareanimal.net."
