Another important consideration when you are setting up the turtle’s habitat is the filtration. You cannot simply have a turtle tank and not have a filtration system. It will be far too dirty and unhealthy for your turtle. For instance for this 10 gallon aquarium that we will be keeping turtles in, a 30 gallon system will be appropriate. This 30 gallon system is designed for a 30 gallon fish tank, but turtles are so dirty and tend to need better filtration, so you want to get a larger filtration system for your turtle’s tank.
