"Hi! I am Marc representing expertvillage.com. I am going to talk to you in this clip about decorations for freshwater aquariums. In the various aquariums here we have plastic plants, real rock, it is mined from the earth, various types of rock, various types of colors, match any decor in your house. We also have certain synthetic rocks they are actually plastic and they have little attachments on them where you can attach plastic plants and when you kind of bury them a little bit in the gravel it will look very realistic. We like to use those because they are easy to decorate our holding tanks with. When you are working on decorating a freshwater aquarium that is the part, it is all about you, quite frankly the fish don’t care, fish is happy, will be happy swimming around in the clean aquarium. The decoration again is for the hobbyist, people go crazy, they can put all kinds of wild colors, or make it very natural looking; it can be very subdued; it can be very lush and loud, anything that suits your particular personality will be just fine by the fish. The fish do tend to hide and they will hide believe it or not less in a well decorated tank than they will in a sparsely decorated tank, it is something about feeling secure knowing that they can hide, it keeps them from hiding. So that little bit of decoration does effect the fish to some degree, but again for the most part it is about beautifying your aquarium and that aquarium beautifying your home.
