"Hello! I am Marc on behalf of expertvillage.com. I am going to talk to you a little bit today about some misconceptions of saltwater fish namely stingray. A lot of people hear and they are very scared of them in light of recent things that happened in the news and if you treat them with respect you don’t have to worry about them. Most of the time people get bit in the wild because they step on them, walking in along the beach and into the water. As you can see I am handling this guy, I am really gentle with him and the chances of me getting stung as long as I treat him with respect and pay attention where the barb is on the back of his tail are pretty slim. We can typically get them so tamed and most of the time they will eat right out of your hands. Wake up, we will see if you want to eat, come here pal, what is that, you want to eat, let us see if this little buddy will eat, come here pal. You have got to be real gentle with him, how is that, there we go, they don’t really have sharp teeth, you can feel it a little bit, he grabbed his big piece of krill. That is krill, a type of shrimp, crustacean that you can find, it is huge food source for everything basically in the ocean. There is a couple of big ones hanging around, let us see if we can find them, there is the big daddy, come here buddy, alright, your waiter is here, coming take your order, what do you think of that. They don’t always eat out of your hands but sometimes they do, here we go, how is that taste, thank you pal, he has gotten in his mouth out there. I don’t suggest petting your fish or play with them like a pet, I just do that to illustrate that they are not dangerous like people think they are as long as you treat them with respect that they deserve.
