Checklist for Planning a Trip

Trip preparation is a key part of ensuring that you enjoy your vacation or even a business trip. During the excitement of planning a trip, people often overlook several basic ways to ease the potential hardships of traveling. By packing light to begin with, you can make the chore of carrying around your luggage a lot easier. Yet you can go too far in cutting corners and end up without crucial supplies on the other side of the world. What you need is a person who has been there and done that to share their experience and knowledge. "So organization is one of the biggest keys to getting anything done effectively. What we're going to talk about in this clip is how to get organized in planning your trip. The first thing that I suggest, which I love, is making a checklist. What I've already done is make a basic, general checklist for travel. When you're traveling you want to make sure you have your mode of transportation and here we're going to just, say your going to go on a flight, make sure you have a place to stay, a hotel or any kind of other residence in or anything else that, maybe a friend's house. We want to make sure we know where we are going to sleep. We want to have travel to and from plans. Whoever is going to take you to the airport or whoever is going to pick you up, we want to make sure that we talk to them and confirm just ahead of time. Events in the city you?re going to go to. When you go out of town you want to make sure you do have a little fun even if it is just for business and figure out what there is to do in that city or what there is to do in that particular area that you'll be. So that's another thing that we'll do a little research on. We want to have a budget. You know if you go out of town you?re going to be eating outside of home and you?re going to be doing a lot of things that cost a lot of extra money. So, we need to have a budget and see, make sure we don't kind of go over that. See what you can afford and kind of keep it in that realm. We also want to make sure that you pack. So, I'll help you with that."
