"Hi! This is Stephanie. I'm here to talk about basic tools that you use in scrap booking other than adhesive or cutters. Some of the things that you can use that are similar to cutters are a corner rounder. A corner rounder is neat because it's a way to cut your paper in curve that'll be geometric. For example, you stick the corner end through there, press it down, and you've got nice round corners. It just gives your paper or whatever you're working on a different look. You can also do that with photos. It gives a neat look. It's always good to have a basic hole punch because you never know what you want to put thread through. You can thread yarn, ribbon, or whatever through the holes. I recommend a nice wire cutter is good. You can cut off the shanks of buttons, trim wire if you're going to use it, or anything that might be a little bit more difficult to break apart. Maybe a small piece of metal that needs to come off. Another basic tool that I recommend is paper piercer. Paper piercers are very, very sharp. They're like a needle, so be very careful when you use it. It's a good way to poke a hole through your paper to brads or anything else that you just need to get through. It'll also go through several layers of paper much more easier than just trying to push it. Get that, but just be careful of how you store it. Markers are really good. You can use them for your journaling. I recommend getting the type that have both a fine point and a regular point. You can journal with the fine point and use the regular point to color in, or whatever else you might need to do. Gel pens are marvelous for journaling. They come out really well. They come in so many different colors so they can match whatever you're working on. I always recommend getting a white one. Be careful what kind of brands you get. Some work better than others. White is great because it'll show up in any of the dark papers that you might use that other colors won't work as well with. Just collect what you need, and soon you'll find out what tools that you use more than others."
