"Hi, I'm Sylva Kelegian with Expert Village and I'm here with Simone Luncher from Pet Mania in Burbank and our next topic is talking about stray dogs and the enormity of the problem and a lot, especially here in Los Angeles as well as many other states and many other countries as well. A lot of people will dump their dogs on the street rather than taking care of them. A lot of dogs are not spayed and neutered on the street so they keep procreating and 64,000 dogs can come in five years from one dog that is not spayed. Now I went into south central last year and I got twenty one dogs out of a three block radius and most of them had never been loved by a human and most of them, ironically, when we brought them into the house, Simone adopted one from me, and totally house broken because these dogs have never been in a homes before. Talk a little bit about Goldie. Yes, Goldie is one of those really nice stories. I didn't adopt her, fostered her actually, and when I took her to the house she was very scared. She was extremely emaciated and but sure enough I mean it took her like two days until she was really comfortable. She was really comfortable around my other dogs and she never harmed my cat and she never had an accident in the house and she was just a perfect, perfect dog who was actually a like a couple months later adopted and I still see her and you know, it's one of those stories where you see an animal in such a horrible condition and now she is riding around in a convertible. So it's just great. She was emaciated in the park. Someone had dumped her there and people walked around her every day and nobody ever fed her and you see this, as you're traveling around in your life, look around, you'll see this a lot and if you can help a dog that you see on the streets, please get it, even to bring it to your local shelter so that it can get off the streets. Thank you."
