"Hi my name is Tim Ambrosuis. I am a professional guitar technician for ExpertVillage.com and I am going to explain to you how to use your effects loop on your amplifier. Most effects looks are going to be located on the back of the amplifier. What you will have first is a send no return, what an effects loop is-is it is going to put the input of your effects in a different place other than in front of your amplifier, it is usually going to put them in between the pre-amp and the power amp. What you want to do is take a cord from the send plug it into the input on your effects pedals and take the output of your effects pedal and put it into return. And then what it is going to do is it is going to create a different sound, it is going to create a line level instead of an instrument level which is just going to make the effect sound just a little different than coming in through the front of the amp. on 8/2/2008 I totally forgot about the effects loop. I've been just going in through the front the whole time.
