Continuing to explore this sewing machine, we will now explore the end of the machine. There are several pieces on this end, the hand wheel or hand control at the top here is a control that allows you to turn the machine over by hand, that is necessary for several of the operations that you do positioning the needle to be able to thread the needle, positioning the needle so that we can pull the bobbin thread up from the bottom and anytime you need to help the machine get over a hump on a piece of material, then that’s what the wheel is for. Moving down from there, we have a control here that corresponds without stitch selection the front of the machine and this is the lever that would be turned to make those stitches correspond with the pattern that you would choose on the front of the machine. Just a little bit below that is a control that you could use a coin to adjust, it’s not something that has to be done all the time but it is a plus minus for a stitch balance if you have a balance, a piece of stitching or piece of sewing that is too far to one side or another, then this control right here will balance that and adjust it. Below that we have a grill, now that grill doesn’t seem very important except if you happen to be in a sewing room or put the machine somewhere the grill is covered, that is the air vent for the motor to make sure that the motor stays at the proper temperature. Then over here, we have the on/off switch which also doubles as the light switch on this particular machine and as this machine has a combination foot control and power cord, that is all combined in this area right here, so we would able to plug our one plug in and it would then give us both the power cord and the foot control to the machine.
