"Hello, my name is Melisa Schenk on behalf of Expert Village. Today we're going to talk about how to deal with a bully. In this clip let's talk about optimism. Of course, choosing to be positive. Always looking in the bright side of life. It can be difficult sometimes especially of course, when dealing with a bully. When talking about optimism, we need to talk about confidence and attitude. Believing in yourself is an attitude. Very interesting, research actually indicates that each of us talk to at least to ourselves, inner talk, self talk in our heads, at least 50,000 times a day, if not more. We say things to ourselves like; I can't do that, why did I say that? What did I do that for? Most of that self talk, 80% of that self talk is negative. Why do we do that? Again, we say things like, I shouldn't had said that, they don't like me, I can't do that. But what if instead saying, I can't do that, we transform that inner critic inside of us, inside of our kids into a inner coach. You can help your children by when hearing them say, I can't do that, I'm no good at that, they don't like me. Try transforming that inner critic into an inner coach, I can do that, I will do that, I will do better on that. Try transforming that inner critic into an inner coach."
