Video Transcript

"In this clip I will show you how to fold the petal fold. The petal fold is done with more than two layers, as in this base. First, we need to get a reference crease in the shape of a triangle. So we will do this by folding this edge into the center crease like so, so that the edge aligns with the center crease. Do the same thing on the other side; fold in to the center crease. Now this triangle on top; we are going to fold down along the top edges of those flaps. Open them back up, and we have a reference crease in the shape of a triangle. Now lift up the very top layer to the base of the triangle, not beyond that, just to the base of the triangle. Open it up. Reference creases; we are going to push the sides in along the reference creases that we had made before. And the top creases; we'll have to kind of reverse them, but follow the creases just the same. Flatten, and this is the petal fold."
