"On behalf of Expert Village my name is Karen LoCasale and I'm here to tell you about crafting with gourds. Embellishing your gourds, this is the fun part of doing your gourds, this is when you already have your design on here, you have painted it, you've got it stained now you get to add all of your finishing touches. Lots of different things out there this is where the crafty person in you comes out. You can use beads, we can use wire, we can use feathers, on Halloween you can use plastic spiders, for Christmas we can use I have used the little napkins rings that are made out of the grape vine wreathes. Piece of leather I mean the options are endless at this point. Another thing you can do is in this case this is going to be a necklace piece or this could actually become a embellish part of the gourd and what I have done is taken my dremel tool and carved out a resets area here to put the stone in and set into here. So a carving on the gourds is a option as well you can do lots of things with that. Dremel tools are a really good option if you want to do that sort of thing. For using stones and different beads and things you can use a dremel tool and carve out on your little piece here and set your stone into the gourd dremels tools are really good for that. This particular piece I'm designing to have as a necklace but it could also be a portion on you can actually glue it right on to the gourd and use it as a embellish piece on here too. So lots of different options there it can be a stand alone piece or piece of the gourd can be attached to the main gourd itself and become more three dimensional. "
