How to Sew Baby Blanket Trim

"Hi, I am Karina Fraley for Expert Village and we are making a baby blanket. We are actually pretty much at the end of this particular blanket. We have stitched all around and we went ahead and folded over our edges to make the trim and I have already done three edges with the straight stitch and now I am going to show you how to do it. So basically remember to press over your sides and go ahead and pin it so that it doesn't slide all over the place on you and also remember about your thread and your bobbin; your top thread and your bobbin color. So I again am using just a off white thread for my fabric and I am ready to go. So you just feed it under there and you do a simple straight stitch. Just guide your fabric through. Remember to pull the pins out, you don't want them breaking your needle. You are just going to guide your fabric through, you are not going to push it or pull it one way or the other. Also always remember when you start any stitch, not a zig-zag stitch, but whenever you start a straight stitch you are going to want to go back a back stitch one time. Okay, now we are just going to finish it with a straight stitch. Now when you get to the end I am going to show you how to close off all the corners."
