How to Make Fleecy Mane for Hobby Horse

"Hi I'm Karen for Expert Village. Now I'm going to show you how to prepare the mane of the horse. I will show you two different methods now if you want to use a fleecy fabric to make the mane of the horse it is very easy. Or you can use a yarn like this so let me show you the fleecy fabric first. You want a piece of fleecy fabric that coordinates the horses color that is twenty inches. About twenty inches by eight inches. It does not have to be exactly about that much and you would fold that in half. It is a big rectangle, you fold it in half like this and then we are going to just cut little half inch slices. You want to stop about a half inch at the end. So you are going to slice it just like that and then move down anywhere between three quarters of a inch to a half inch. Just cut down all the way. You don't want to go much smaller or thinner then three quarters of a inch on this fleecy fabric because it makes it a little bit weak. So this is good about a half inch to three quarter inches and you slice it down this is the folded in and you will stop right about half inch to three quarters of a inch from the end. There you go. Just slice it down that makes a real nice fluffy, fuzzy."
