"Hi I'm Karen for Expert Village. We would start by preparing our broom stick. Now if you either cut this broom stick already more then three feet. So anywhere from two and half to three feet depending upon the size of the child that you are going to be giving it to. Or whatever size you want to do about two in a half to three feet. We are going to mark two markings on the broom stick. We are going to mark at two inches here and then mark again at six inches here. We are not going to cut it off here we are just going to make a groove around the stick. So I'm going to saw off a little and turn it, saw a little and turn it. We just want to have a groove and we are going to sue this groove to attach the horse head to the stick. So I have a milder box here that I will secure and it has a little plastic in here to secure the stick in place. I'm just going to saw off a little bit just to get a groove maybe about a quarter inch in. Not so much and then rotate it and continue this all the way around this. A little bit of sawing and turn it. You might be able to do this also with a knife a very sharp knife. You just want to get about a quarter inch groove all the way around. We are going to use that groove to tie the horse head onto the stick. That is what that looks like and now I'm going to do it again at two inches. The two inch one is to put a little padding on the end of the stick to give it, so it will not be hard inside the horses it. It would be a little safer. I'm going to groove also at two inches. You don't want to saw to far into the wood because it might cause it to break off. Okay now that is ready, we would set that aside until we finish making the horse head."
