"Hi, my name's Elissa with ExpertVillage.com and today I'm going to show you how to crochet a scarf. Now that you've finished crocheting your scarf, it's time to put on some decorative touches. So, before you start make sure and trim off the tails of your crocheting so that you have a nice clean square or scarf for that matter. And then you're going to cut off strips to make some fringe on your scarf. And, you can make them as long or as short as you want but remember they're going to be doubled over when you attach them to your scarf. And, we have twelve stitches across our scarf and I think about two pieces of yarn per stitch makes a good full fringe. So, make sure you have twenty-four pieces of yarn. So, you're going to take two of your pieces of thread and you're going to fold it in half, and this is what your fringe is going to look like, and you can always go back and trim them up to make them completely even. You use your hook to go through one of the stitches, and you're just going to pull that yarn through like this, so you have your fringe through the first stitch on the end of your scarf. Then you're going to take it, as if you're doing a single chain stitch, and pull the rest of the fringe all the way through, so now you can pull it tight and you have a piece of fringe hanging off your scarf. And if you want you can just alternate the stitches or you can do the fringe on each stitch. So, put it through the stitch, hook it around the fringe, pull it through so you have a loop, and pull the rest of the fringe through that loop and pull it tight. So, you can continue this on across the entire length of your scarf and you'll have a nice fringe on the end of your scarf."
