"Hi, my name's Elissa with ExpertVillage.com and today I'm going to show you how to crochet a scarf. Now, I'm going to show you the second part of the specialty stitch that I came up with. I've just finished doing chain stitches across this whole row and I have six loops now formed by my chain stitches. So, what we're going to do is turn our piece around and start on the next row. And, because we have twelve stitches across and we have six loops, we're going to do two stitches on the crest of each of these loops to make our twelve stitches. So, what we're going to do is just do a single crochet. So, you want to find a stitch in here that's at the very top, and put your hook through, pull your yarn through and then finish off your single crochet. So, there's one stitch. We want to do a second one in that same stitch right there. So, you're going to put your hook through, pull your yarn through once and finish off your single crochet. So, we have two stitches on top of this first crest, and now you're going to move to the next loop. And, you're going to do the same thing. Find the stitch that's at the very top of that loop, put your hook through, pull your yarn through and pull it through both loops and there's your third single crochet on top of the second loop, and do that again. OK, so now we have four stitches total going across the top. Just continue on finding the very top stitch and doing two single crochets on the crest, oops, lost one of the loops there, two single crochets on the crest of each loop. So, there's one and two, now we're on the fifth loop. One single crochet and the second single crochet and on the very last one, one single crochet and the second single crochet. So, now we have six stitches total on top and we can continue on using these stitches down below or we can do another row of this specialty stitch. And, don't forget to do the extra single chain stitch at the end so you can turn your piece around and start on the next row. So, this is the specialty stitch that I've come up with to make a really fun pattern on your scarf."
