"My name is Courtney and on behalf of Expert Village and in this clip I'm going to show you a fun game to play to have your child practice counting groups of coins. The first thing you need is a piece of blank paper and we're going to draw a game board on here. We're going to make this a game board. So we're going to draw just a squiggly line and then you'll want to draw another line to make a path. The younger the child the shorter you can make the game board, the older your child is you can make your game board longer and more advanced. This will be our start and over here will be our finish. You can even name this something fun like race to the bank since it's going to be counting coins. We're going to draw some sections on our board, again you can vary this to the difficulty that you need. Then the next thing we're going to do is take just some spare change we have around the house and I'm going to make, put down some coins in each section. Now that I've done that the people playing each need a marker. You can use something from around the house, I'm going to use this little toy car. What you're going to do is roll the dice, you'll move that many spaces, and then we have to count the coins correctly. This is four cents. So, then I would get to stay there and it would be the next person's turn. Then it would be my turn again, four, and here we have eleven cents, and you play until someone reaches the end. This is a really fun way, practical way, to practice counting groups of coins. "
