"The next step would be pressing. We need to press these seams down so that we can make sure that the size of the quilt is really evident. If we don't press it, we might not have the size correct for the binding. And the next step would be to put the binding on actually. So I am pressing these seams open. It is not really critical that be be perfectly pressed open. I am just pressing them open so I can get a good sizing. As you can see, we've done a demonstration piece for you. I have four rows of four bricks. So just for time sake, we are going to do a small piece for you today. Once they have been sufficiently pressed open then you can flip the quilt on the opposite side and press the backing as well."
