Video Transcript

"Hi! This is John on behalf of Expert Village. In this video clip, I will be showing you Part 6 of replacing an old electrical outlet. Next we are going to install a new plate to match our outlet. After that go ahead and turn the power back on. To test our outlet to make sure we installed it correctly, we are going to use one of these outlet testers. It has different lights in the front, and if they light up in a different pattern, it will tell you whether you installed it correctly or incorrectly. What we are going to look for is that these two orange lights light up when we plug it in. It looks like everything is wired correctly and working properly."
