How to Remove the Light Switch Plate Cover

"Hi! I'm John and with Expert Village and we're making light switch plate covers. One thing we need to do after we pick a light switch cover is take it off, which can be challenging, which can be easy. Let's do it. Here's our example that we're going to use. This one is plain. It hasn’t been painted over. If it's been painted over, you want to get a razor blade and cut it right here. If you take it off, it'll rip the paint. That's a whole other project in its self, so let's think about it before we do it. This one's real easy. I have a flathead screwdriver. We'll just unscrew it. We're taking it off. When we're taking it off, we want to be careful. This one is new. It's safer. You don't want to stick this metal screwdriver in there because you can get shocked. If you're doing this on your own, be careful. If you're under 18, tell your parents or don't tell your parents. Be careful."
